I am delighted to report that I have been accepted onto a Latin distance learning course with the Open University. It has been over 20 years since I studied Latin at school and I have memories of it being a highly fascinating language to learn.
Did you know that....
roughly half the vocabulary of the English Language comes from Latin?
Latin was the official language of all documents written in England before 1733?
there are no native speakers of Latin (as it is only used as a second language)?
